I can relate when I was younger it was the same for me I was that kid nobody had to worry about then when I was 19 i had my first child (Im 23 now) I got away and lived my life for me and my son and nobody else.[fioure]

What you've described is a lot of what I am going through right now. I come from a traditional Asian family with strict morals. I am expected to be a "perfect child", although I am never good enough for my parents. I think I know what you are talking about...I can understand your frustration. [Sweetshugar36]

Advice isn't so good here, because generally it's just a form of nostalgia for someelses life, not relevent to yours. The problem here is mainly, is what do YOU see yourself as? True to your boyfriend, connected to both, single again and keeping yourself happy.. etc..
remember there is no right and no wrong answers here, only the ones you choose.

This poem struck a chord in me. “You never showed them your tears / So they all assumed you were fine.” I put on a mask every time I walk out my front door. I hide my pain and my grief to the world so that others would not see the pain I live with day after day, to appear strong again. “But little did I know / You didn't know how to ask for help.” How can I? Even if I did, what would they do? My heart has been carved from my chest, leaving a gaping infected wound that festers in agonizing silence. “You assumed you could do it on your own / But you couldn't” Probably, but I try, is that not enough? In time I hope to gather the strength needed to mend my ills. Maybe it will leave a scar, but at the very least, I will not go to sleep in a pool of emotional blood. “So you suffered in silence / And lost all control.” Life sucks, and then you die. [OfLoveLost]

I want to explain what this poem means for those who don't quite understand it. We are all traveling through an opaque tunnel , however some of us don't realize that we are. The opaque tunnel in which we are traveling through is life. No one knows where they are going or where they will end up, so this is the darkness in which I talk about. For some the darkness is the sadness that they face each day, a darkness that is not guaranteed to end. And yes Daisy this poem maybe scary but that is because life is scary, especially since we have no idea were it is going to take us. I hope this makes sense to you all. Well I'm out for now. Honey, I know how you are feeling. I had the same thing with my family. I lived in a very dsyfunctional home. I wanted to get away from it all....and I did that as soon as I turned 18. It was hard at first and things got worse before they got better. I am much happier now that I am living on my own. And in my own apartment. Just have faith that things will get better. sometimes, other people dont understand the value of the thing that somebody fought for, worked for, and they take it. it so damn frustrating, and its so damn hurts when they take it from you. its what you did, its what you earned. yet they take it from you like its a little thing. and they dont care. for what you thought, for what you feel. and they laugh at the expressions that were on your faces. ^_^ its a kewl poem, i really like it. i completely agree that 2002 is a poopy, er, i mean, prejudice year!!! well as far as i can see it, it is. ah, are you a Jewish? i havent studied the "N" people and A.H. but from what i hear, A.H. thinks the Jewishs will bring down the country? I dont know where he got that idea. but its... crappy. also, the other people have no right to say that its only the past. the past makes the future and the present. er, i dont know whot to take about. nice poems tho ^^ quite honored to see your compliment on my MMDD.
